Have a First World War adventure at The Great War Exhibition with your holiday programme, having fun among Sir Peter Jackson’s realistic movie-like sets of World War One. Children will be challenged with a secret mission to help them understand life in the war.
We offer the following themed programmes:
December 2017: Christmas on the Front — Learn about wartime acts of kindness and First World War truces. Create a Christmas care package for a loved one.
January 2018: Fit for soldiering — Make your own dog tags, experience basic army drill, and be trained to navigate through the exhibition, completing exciting tasks as you go. Is your group prepared to accept this challenge?
April 2018: ANZAC Day — Understand this important day by exploring our world-class exhibition, while solving secret missions and ANZAC challenges.
July 2018: Transportation in the War — The First World War was a time of immense technological change. Explore how transportation evolved through this period of time. Exhibition-based missions, close encounters with actual artefacts. Make and test First-World-War-inspired winged, flying creations.
Children will complete their themed secret missions while exploring The Great War Exhibition, supervised by your holiday programme staff, then participate in craft activities under the supervision of our TGWE staff.
